At Tolleson Elementary School District (Tolleson ESD) we are all treasure hunters committed to search for all the talents, skills, and intelligence that exist in all children and youth. We believe all children are capable of success—No Exceptions!

Located just off Interstate 10 west of downtown Phoenix, our five schools—Arizona Desert, Desert Oasis, Porfirio H. Gonzales, Sheely Farms, and Tolleson Virtual Academy—are ready to welcome you and your children to enroll at any time throughout the year.

Dear Tolleson ESD Families & Community,

Welcome to our district and schools! There are many topics we want to share with you throughout our website, and I would like to highlight a few of those here:

  • We are very proud of our Five-Year District Strategic Plan approved by our Governing Board. It includes our top priority goals for this school year and guides our decision-making every day. Family engagement is a key priority for us, and it is our goal to intentionally engage you in your child’s learning.
  • Although teaching and learning are our reason for being, we are all focused on the safety of our students and staff. Please review our Standard Response Protocol (SRP) regarding communication during challenging times. We encourage and are grateful to our families and community for communicating with us immediately if they hear or see of anything that could put our students or staff at risk. Our principals, office teams, teachers, and all our staff are available to listen should there be a concern. Our district tip line is always an option, too. In Tolleson ESD, we all work together to keep everyone as safe as possible.
  • We want to thank our community for your support of our most recent bond initiative. Your support means we will have new athletic fields at Arizona Desert, a new preschool playground, a new and enhanced drop-off and pick-up area at Porfirio H. Gonzales, new carpet at Desert Oasis, and a new marquee at Sheely Farms.
