Governing Board

We hold board meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Office Board Room or as otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the general public except the executive session, which is conducted to discuss only those matters as prescribed by Arizona law.

District policy

1. Promote student achievement by providing support and autonomy in hiring highly effective educators.
2. Support the focus for continuing to foster the social-emotional learning, character development, and mental health of all students with an emphasis on middle school.
3. Provide support and funding to intentionally engage parents and caregivers to become engaged with our schools with an emphasis on families with middle school students.

A majority of Governing Board members may attend school district-related functions; however, no board business will be discussed, and no board action will be taken at any of these events:

• District and Schools sponsored events including, but not limited to, promotions, assemblies, athletic events, performances, extracurricular activities, and/or community events.
• Other sponsored events by professional organizations, businesses, and/or other partners, including, but not limited to, conferences, meetings, trainings, etc.
