Dear Tolleson ESD Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

On behalf of our Governing Board and the entire Tolleson Elementary School District team, I am excited to welcome you to another school year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities! Whether you are returning to our district or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Tolleson ESD family.

At Tolleson ESD, we believe every child is capable of success—No Exceptions! As a proud Kids at Hope district, we are all Treasure Hunters, committed to building meaningful relationships, maintaining high expectations, and ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

This year, our work will continue to be guided by four district priorities that keep students at the heart of everything we do:

  • Ensure instruction, curriculum, and assessment are relevant, rigorous, and aligned to prepare every student for academic achievement and lifelong success.
  • Promote positive behavior, social-emotional learning, character development, and mental health well-being so students develop the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional educators and staff while providing the support and resources they need to continue making a difference every day.
  • Intentionally engage parents and caregivers as valued partners in supporting students' academic growth, positive behavior, and overall well-being.

We are proud to serve students at Arizona Desert, Desert Oasis, Porfirio H. Gonzales, and Sheely Farms Elementary Schools. Across our district, students benefit from outstanding teachers, rigorous academics, athletics, fine arts, preschool, before- and after-school programs, leadership opportunities, and a wide range of support services designed to help every child succeed. We are also honored that nearly one in four of our students attend through open enrollment, a reflection of the confidence families place in our schools.

If you are new to our community or have questions throughout the year, our Welcome Center is here to help. Our team looks forward to connecting you with the information, resources, and support you need to make this school year a wonderful experience for your family.
