Empowering Learners Through Innovation

At Tolleson Elementary School District, we are committed to preparing students for a rapidly changing world. Through engaging STEM instruction and meaningful assessments, we equip students with the skills they need to succeed—today and in the future.

STEM is more than a subject—it is a mindset. Our STEM instruction encourages curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Students across all grade levels participate in hands-on learning experiences that challenge them to think critically and innovate.

Our STEM programs are aligned with state academic standards and incorporate real-world applications, project-based learning, and opportunities to explore 21st-century careers. From coding and robotics to environmental science and engineering design, students develop the skills that drive future success.

Academic Assessments

Measuring Progress. Guiding Growth.

Assessments play an important role in helping us understand each student’s progress and tailor instruction to meet their needs. At Tolleson ESD, we use a combination of state and district assessments to measure student learning and ensure our teaching practices are effective and equitable.

State Assessments

Students participate in Arizona’s state assessments, which provide valuable insight into how well they are mastering grade-level standards.

District Benchmarks

In addition to state testing, we use district-level assessments throughout the year to monitor growth, adjust instruction, and provide targeted support where needed. These tools help us ensure that every student is on track for success.
