Ms. Claudia Espinoza’s hometown is Chicago, Illinois, she is married and has two wonderful sons that promoted from Tolleson Elementary School District and graduated from Tolleson High School District.  Her hobbies include:  reading, traveling and spending time with family.   Her passion for education has led her from being a classroom teacher to bilingual lead teacher to reading specialist to reading coach to Assistant Principal to Principal.   As a lifelong learner, Ms. Espinoza has continued her education through master’s degrees in linguistics, reading, and educational leadership from Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University.    Her drive is to make a positive difference for our community and support our families in ensuring our students have a world class education and the best opportunities while enrolled with us.

Erica Leonard currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Desert Oasis Elementary School. Being a native of Arizona for most of her life, Ms. Leonard is a proud graduate of the University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and Arizona State University, where she earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership.  Ms. Leonard has dedicated years of service to the families in the Tolleson School District, while actively supporting fellow educators, students, and the surrounding community.  She promotes enriched and engaging lessons that will lead to the exponential growth of all students.  It is her desire to maintain positive relationships within her school community, while supporting best practices in classroom instruction. She believes ALL students are capable of success, no exceptions.
