What is Jobs for Arizona Graduates?

Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates (commonly referred to as JAG) is more than a school program—it is a game-changer. Designed for middle school students, Jobs for Arizona Graduates helps young people build the confidence, leadership skills, and real-world know-how they need to succeed in high school and beyond.

Through mentorship, hands-on projects, and career exploration, students learn how to set goals, overcome obstacles, and see the bigger picture for their future. Whether they are discovering what drives them, building stronger communication skills, or preparing for life after graduation, this program helps them stay on track and feel seen, supported, and inspired.

We are proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Tolleson ESD JAG students from Arizona Desert, Desert Oasis, and Porfirio H. Gonzales Elementary, who recently represented our district at the JAG National Student Leadership Conference in Indianapolis.

We are thrilled to announce that our students earned top placements in three national categories:

  • 1st Place – Love Project, Porfirio H. Gonzales Elementary

  • 1st Place – Employability Skills, Arizona Desert Elementary

  • 4th Place – Prepared Speaking, Desert Oasis Elementary

Congratulations to all of our student leaders—you make Tolleson ESD proud!

Empowering Every Leader

At Tolleson Elementary School District, we believe in nurturing the whole child—and that includes preparing them for what’s next. JAG gives students the tools, guidance, and motivation to dream bigger and do better.
