 Here at Tolleson Elementary School District we serve 2900 students in grades K-8 in four elementary schools, including: Desert Oasis Elementary, Arizona Desert Elementary, Porfirio Gonzales Elementary, and Sheely Farms Elementary. When the citizens of Arizona talk about what's right with public education, our goal is to have them talking about what's going on in our district. When a parent sends their child off for the first day in Kindergarten, we want them to feel assured that they are placing their most precious possession in good hands, and that the journey they are about to embark upon will be a positive learning encounter. We also want Tolleson Elementary employees to know that they are valued for their contribution to the success of each child that passes through the doors of our schools We are reaching those goals. Tolleson Elementary student achievement continues to rise. We now have an A+ school in our district. The knowledge acquired about students through the assessment program is employed in creating new and redesigning existing curriculum, a process that ensures continued student success. A district is only as good as its employees and ours strive to meet the high expectations we set for ourselves. We have a quality staff that is proud to provide the leadership to keep up with the demands of a changing environment and to enable us to continue to empower our students to successfully engage in the future of our country.
