The first thing teachers and staff will tell you when asked why they love it here is that it feels more like a family than a job. In fact, generation after generation of families have been living, working, and learning together in Tolleson ESD and have built this deep sense of community.

If leadership is the ability of an individual or a group to influence and guide followers toward a common goal, then Tolleson ESD is the gold standard! It is clear that our leaders are focused on our students, families, teachers and staff with every decision they make.

Performance-Based Compensation System
Performance-based compensation (PBCS) is available to teachers and master educators.Tolleson Elementary School District includes four major components in determining its performance-based compensation: Individual Growth, Team Growth, School Growth, and Learning Observations. 

The cumulative results of four observation cycles account for 50 percent of the score used to determine Teacher Performance Classification. Compensation awarded is based on this Teacher Performance Classification. PCBS is funded by Proposition 301 and Teacher Incentive Fund monies.
