Letter to the Community - October 27, 2023
Dear Tolleson ESD Families & Community;
We have new safety resource officers (SRO) for our schools, and I want to introduce them to you.
- Mr. Carlos Garcia is the new SRO for our Phoenix schools, and he will be at Desert Oasis and Sheely Farms Elementary Schools.
- Mr. Obed Gaytan will be serving our Tolleson schools, and he will be at Arizona Desert and Porfirio H. Gonzales Elementary Schools.
Our safety resource officers are on our campuses to keep our students, staff, and teachers safe as well as helping to educate on safety and the law. They are funded through a competitive safety grant we submitted to the Arizona Department of Education. I am grateful for their presence as we have a history of very positive relationships with SRO’s in our schools.
