Letter to the Community - April 17, 2024

Dear Tolleson ESD Families & Community;

Saturday is race day! That’s right, our community 5k walk/run is Saturday, April 20 starting at 7:00 am. It starts at 8601 West Van Buren Street and is free for all Tolleson residents and families enrolled at Tolleson ESD, Tolleson UHSD, and employees of City of Tolleson. Please join us for great exercise and community fun as Tolleson ESD, Tolleson UHSD, and the City of Tolleson partner to present this great day bringing our community together. 

Thanks to our entire community for your support during our Arizona Academic Standards Assessments. Those will be wrapping up soon, and our students have displayed great confidence as they approached the assessments each day. We appreciate your support to ensure students have been ready for their assessments, and our teachers and staff have been focused, as always, on ensuring our students were ready to “show what they know!” Thank you!

As May approaches, it will be a full month. In education there are so many activities in May that we call it, “the 60 days of May!” As we approach the time to celebrate our promoting 8th grade students, kinder students, and another great school year, I encourage us all to stay focused on great student attendance as there is always so much to learn each and every day of school. Thanks for being part of our Tolleson ESD education community!
